This was a bit of fun, I decided not to use too many embellishments this time around, as the sketch design it'self needs to be admired without too much clutter, at least that's the way I felt in my creative moment anyway :)
This was a pleasure to make, and it was nice to use the French Lace, but in a modern way. I tried to keep it a bit funky to appeal to many people, which would make this an easy card to give to someone special no matter who they are :)
Stamp (Stitchy Bears stamps) http://stitchybearstamps.com I was lucky enough to win this one in a challenge that I participated in recently.
Embellishments; Flowers, Buttons, French Lace, Satin Bow, Glitter, Gems
For this challenge I needed to use just one color, black being one of my favorites I thought it would be rather easy, however to do a card using black, you really have to think about it to make the card pop for an interesting capture and to try and keep it looking sophisticated like the stamp image lends itself towards was a challenge in itself, I think I did quite well in the end ;)
Stamp (from Stitchy Bear Stamps) http://stitchybearstamps.com, I was privileged enough to win this one, in a previous challenge
This was loads of fun.... Because for the first time, I used COPICS! OMGosh.... I'm in love with the copics, my other markers are sitting there on the craft table in a very jealous state... LOL I also used one my favourite sock monkey cartoon's from BugABoo.
This was by far my favourite card to make this week, slightly difficult without the designer paper advantage, But once the thinking cap went on.... it got easy! surprising how easy it is to rely on designer paper all the time, isn't it? The mouse was extra pretty once I started to decorate with pink, the colour of inspiration came from a pink marshmallow, in my own hot cocoa at the time. Lots of distressing edges was done, I was in the mood to distress all week I think!
I used one of my favourite techniques for this card - Distressing, it takes a lot of time especially the oval edges in the middle, not to mention all the layered pieces of card to be distressed, but it was fun & worth the challenge. Sorry that the clarity of the picture isn't too great. I added purple flowers to encourage a feminine look with the black and white & to tie it in with my pink and maroon image of the Tilda stamp.
I love doing most crafts especially Card Making, Scrapbooking & Cooking is a favourite past time of mine too.
My husband Alan & I live Brisbane, Australia with our cute little cat named Ella. We moved to Australia from New Zealand in 2008, we are kiwi's by heart but becoming more Australian as time goes by.
