Challenge # 36 Monochrome
From over at: http://creativeinspirationschallenge.blogspot.com/
For this challenge I needed to use just one color, black being one of my favorites I thought it would be rather easy, however to do a card using black, you really have to think about it to make the card pop for an interesting capture and to try and keep it looking sophisticated like the stamp image lends itself towards was a challenge in itself, I think I did quite well in the end ;)

Card Details:
  • Stamp (from Stitchy Bear Stamps) http://stitchybearstamps.com, I was privileged enough to win this one, in a previous challenge
  • Designer Paper & Bazzil Card Stock
  • Glitter, Gems, Flowers
  • Sentiment, one of my own
You are welcome to purchase this card at: http://www.etsy.com/shop/CraftyLiLPixie

Cocoa & Kisses

This was by far my favourite card to make this week, slightly difficult without the designer paper advantage, But once the thinking cap went on.... it got easy! surprising how easy it is to rely on designer paper all the time, isn't it? The mouse was extra pretty once I started to decorate with pink, the colour of inspiration came from a pink marshmallow, in my own hot cocoa at the time. Lots of distressing edges was done, I was in the mood to distress all week I think!
Card Details:
  • Stamp - The adorable little cocoa mouse came from BugABoo stamps this week (http://bugaboostamps.com/pg_Christmas_mice_.html)
  • Card Stock - Bazzil Card Stock
  • Ribbon - my own
  • Sentiment - my own
  • Glitter - Kindy Glitz - Crystal
  • Markers - Tombo

ADORABLE

I used one of my favourite techniques for this card - Distressing, it takes a lot of time especially the oval edges in the middle, not to mention all the layered pieces of card to be distressed, but it was fun & worth the challenge. Sorry that the clarity of the picture isn't too great. I added purple flowers to encourage a feminine look with the black and white & to tie it in with my pink and maroon image of the Tilda stamp.

Card Details:
  • Stamp - Magnolia (http://www.dreamcottage.nu/english1/index.html)
  • Card Stock - all from Bazzil cardstock, some is embossed
  • Flowers, Gems & Glitter - Tara flowers, black kaiser gems & Kindy Glitz - crystal
  • Sentiment - from my computer
